Special Edition Everest
24 hour Watch
Base Watch
This model
is a heavy stainless Poljot 24 hour pilot's watch with
a domed mineral crystal. The movement? 17 jewel hand-wind!
Case is stainless steel with a screw in crown.
As such the
top indice is the 6:00 am time, with 12:00 noon at the
traditional 3 spot, 6:00 pm at the traditional 6 spot, and
12:00 midnight at the traditional 9 spot.
The dial is lumed with C1 (white)
genuine Superluminova from Switzerland. The dial design
emphaisizes the need to see the dial at night, by using
the most lume and the biggest indices at the after the
6:00 pm spot.
More
customization is used in the graduated numbers starting
with the smallest at the 12 midnight spot and increasing
in size and "glow
value" as the time approaches the traditional morning
time to awake.
This watch features
a heavy, very attractive, solid link band from Poljot.
These bands sell for about $70 from the Russian sites.
The watch is water tested to 10 atms. The crystal is a
domed mineral crystal. The case diameter is 40mm.
In practice this watch shifts
your paradigm a little, but the layout is rather intuitive
after you have worn it a little while. Its a really fun
watch to share with others.

"End of the Trail"
This stainless steel
watch features a dial representing James Earl Fraser's most
famous scultpure" The End of the Trail".
In 1894, when James Earle Fraser completed his model of the
End of the Trail, American civilization stretched from shore
to shore. Most Euro-Americans believed the frontier period
was over and that such progress was inevitable. Many viewed
Native Americans as part of the past, a vanishing race with
no place in the twentieth century. Popular literature portrayed
Indian people as "savages," noble or
otherwise. Fraser's the End of the Trail reflects this legacy: a nineteenth
century Indian warrior defeated and bound for oblivion -- frozen in
time.
By the 1890s, Native Americans knew their trail had become steep and
rocky, but they believed it would continue. Confined mostly to reservations
and ravaged by disease and starvation, the Indian population declined
dramatically. Indian children were forced to attend federally supported
boarding schools that attempted to replace traditional tribal values
with American culture. Although denied citizenship and a voice in determining
their future until 1924, Indian people persisted.
The watch features an
ETA 11 1/2 ligne Swiss quartz movement in a stainless case.
It has a mineral crystal, and stitched full-grain leather
strap. The dial has the stick indices lumed with Superluminova
from Switzerland. The case diameter is 35mm. The watch is
water-resistant. This would make a great watch for someone
who appreciate the history and culture of the West.

material is base metal with a stainless back. The watch has
a mineral crystal, and a lightweight but attractive bracelet.
The dial shows an background of the "Setting Sun" Arizona
state emblem. The watch has a water resistant rating on the
case back, but this is really just a dress watch. This case
works great with different leather straps. The strap size
is 20mm. This would make a great watch for someone who appreciate
the history and culture of the West.
